The Host:

Brayden T. Thomas is a creator who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theological and Biblical Studies. He strives to learn, teach, and create in the intersection of science, technology, and the humanities, hoping that through his works, he might encourage people to live lovingly, honestly, and in accordance with truth.

Ecclesial History:

Brayden grew up attending a Four Square church in West Linn, Oregon, where his parents were in leadership, including the role of head youth pastors. When the church planted another body, his parents were co-founders, giving Brayden an inside view of what it looks like to found an organization. After years of attendance, his parents later went on to begin a house church in their own home, where Brayden attended their meetings and gained valuable insights into Christian ministry, sparking a desire to start something of his own.

The Wrestle:

When he arrived at George Fox University, he was exposed to a larger palette of the Christian faith. For the first time in his life, he began to ask questions concerning his own traditions, their origins, and their accuracy. After a larger faith crisis and transformation, Brayden is currently denominationally unattached, yet remains confessionally Christian. He attempts to live within the bounds of truth presented by Christianity: reason, tradition, scripture, and believes the Law of Love revealed in Christ is the aim of all humanity.

This podcast is an invitation to wrestle with God and the Christian faith. Here at the Socratic Saint, Brayden hopes to create a community where all seek truth, encounter reality, and become people of love.
