About Me

My name is Brayden Thomas. I am a recent college graduate from George Fox University, located in Newberg, Oregon, and graduated high school from Oregon City, Oregon in 2021.
For the first ten years of my life I was raised in Sherwood, Oregon and moved to Oregon City in 2013 after my family took part in a church plant. I played a variety of sports including eleven years of baseball, four years of basketball, one year of track and field as a hurdler, and five and a half years of football. When I was 10 years old, I decided to play the guitar, but trully picked it up when my family began a house church in 2016 in order to help with musical worship. Since then, I have been playing in a variety of musical and worship contexts and enjoy playing with others and helping them learn how to play. In school I was enthrawled with mathematics and writing

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with an emphasis in Biblical Studies. My time at George Fox University included a wide range of academic experiences ranging from two years as a civil engineering major and concluding with two years of Biblical Studies after changing my major. This transition allowed me to engage more deeply with the intellectual and spiritual questions that drive my curiosity. My goal has been to integrate faith, intellect, and creativity in service of truth, while carrying forward the analytical rigor and problem-solving instincts I developed through my work in the sciences. Although my academic focus changed, the time I spent in engineering provided a strong foundation in mathematics, the natural sciences, critical thinking, and technical systems

My work is now oriented toward overtly Christian roles such as biblical scholarship, church ministry, and Christian education. So far, I’ve served as a High School Youth Ministry Director, contributed to a summer theological research project, and led musical worship in a wide variety of contexts, each experience shaping my desire to teach and guide others in both intellectual and spiritual formation.
In the fall of 2026, I plan to enroll in graduate school to further my studies, pursuing a Master of Divinity. Upon completion, I hope to pursue a PhD and later move into college-level teaching, theological writing, and philosophical engagement with Scripture and the Christian tradition.
In the meantime, I plan to work in roles that sharpen these skills through tutoring, teaching, writing, preaching, and facilitating conversations around truth, faith, and meaning. I also hope to continue drawing from bits of my engineering background and integrate my accumulated skills through tutoring students in subjects such as mathematics, physics, and logic. Additionally, I offer guitar lessons on the side and enjoy helping others grow authentically and creatively.
